Acid Rain
The rain, crystalline droplets, fell upon me like acid rain. I was excruciatingly cold, wet, and sick. It was already tough enough to get from one place to another most of the time due to my deformed paw. But this day, I was making my way ever more so slowly than I usually do. My lungs were up in flames. I could barely breathe as I walked onward.
I’ve lived my whole life alone, so I know how to take care of myself. But this sickness was the worst. I didn’t know how to get well, nor did I think I would. I thought that I was going to die within the next few hours.
